Meaning:

Joe's thoughts on the song: This is a song about loneliness. In it's truest form. Being lonely, while surrounded by people. People who blindly agree with whatever they are spoonfed, -from their friends, their religion, community, etc. what it comes down to, is that I was searching for someone who could see things in their own way, without being afraid to admit it. Someone to formulate their OWN ideas about the world and why it works the way it does. Stride is the oldest song still in our setlist. It was written my senior year, after a long boring night at a party. the lyrics and music have been reworked several times since then.

**fun swim fact: Stride is the song which convinced Ken (our producer) to start working with a bunch of kids who couldn't play their instruments worth a shit.
