Meaning:

"I am proud of this song. It isn't very commercial. I don't think I could see it as being a single or anything, but that's not the way I intended it. It's the newest song we have as of right now, but I'm sure by the time anyone reads this we'll have two or three more... July has a time signature change that works really well- from 4/4 to 6/8. which really isn't that big of a deal to a real musician. but as aspiring rock stars, we're pretty proud of it. Lyrically, some of the concepts are kind of strange. It was written sitting by Elk Creek (Washed Away...) in early July. I was on a retreat. I told some friends that I was taking the day off "to find myself." As a joke, of course. But when I actually started thinking about it, I began wondering what "myself" would say if I "found" him. Anyway, the concepts in the song with any real substance are whether or not anything matters at all (which obviously is a question I struggle with often), independence, and finally, the importance of feeling." - (Joe Hedges)
